Search for hidden gems and support the Carstairs Elks on May 1-2

A great opportunity to hunt for deals and help support community initiatives is coming up this week.

John Mercier with the Carstairs Elks is getting ready for their annual Gigantic Garage Sale. He says “pretty well everything goes back into the community. One of the big mandates that we have is helping children in the community. We sponsor quite a few different events. We sponsor the Girl Guides club in Town here, the football team, rodeo. We also sponsor the (Carstairs & District) Lions (Club) food hamper and also the Mountain View Food Bank.”

The Elks will hold their Gigantic Garage Sale on Friday, May 1st from noon until 8pm and on Saturday, May 2nd from 9am until 4pm at the Carstairs Curling Rink.

A fan of all seasons, Galen has been News Director & the voice of the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Olds Grizzlys on 96.5 CKFM/ROCK 104.5 for two decades and in 2024 he was excited to have the opportunity to join the team at Vista Radio and My Mountain View Now.
