There are three days of thrills, spills, music, and more coming up just north of Innisfail.
Jack Daines founded the Daines Ranch Pro Rodeo in the 1960s and he introduced the rodeo world to mutton bustin’ – a children’s sheep riding event. Rodeo coordinator Kyle Daines highlights the fact that there is as much demand as ever for mutton bustin’. He says “oh it is crazy, I think sheep riding might be one of the fan favourite events. We hit a new record this year, we got 80 sheep riders and entries sold out in nine minutes.”
Daines adds, they have a new Bulls & Brews Bull Riding performance on Saturday. He says “one thing lots of the fans are asking for is something for Saturday afternoon. Yeah we’re just going to try something new and put on a top notch bull riding. Just give families something to come out to and, yeah, just a little more for the campers. We’ve got a lot of really good up and coming bull riders right now and we’ve got some great stock for them, so there should be some great rides.”
The Pro Rodeo Canada performances are at 7pm from June 11th through the 13th. See the full line up here.
