Pro Rodeo returned to Red Deer over the weekend and fans headed to Westerner Park to catch all the action.
Inside the Marchant Crane Centrium, the winners included Jhett Wheeler from Sylvan Lake in bull riding (85.5 points).
There was a rare four way-tie for top spot in bareback, so Clint Laye from Cadogan, Dantan Bertsch from Consort, Orin Larsen from Manitoba and Jacob Lees from Texas split the first through fourth place prize money. All four of them posted 86 point rides.

s B-7 Birch Bubbles.
Saskatchewan’s Tate Beierbach was quickest in steer wrestling (3.9 seconds), the tandem of Kash Bonnett and Logan Cullen led the way in team roping (4.0 seconds), Shane Hanchey from Texas had the fastest time in tie down roping (8.3 seconds), Idaho’s Meagan McLeod-Sprag was tops in barrel racing (13.99 seconds), and there was a tie in breakaway roping with both Tori Brower from Stettler and Lilly Artemenko from Parkland County both getting the job done in 2.3 seconds.
Bluffton’s Quaide Skjonsberg was first in novice bareback (72 points), Kacen Nowicki from Lac La Biche won in novice saddle bronc (77 points), and Sakatchewan’s Nixon Kappel was the best of the bunch in junior steer riding (75.5 points).
Later this week Leduc (May 28-31), Hand Hills (May 30-31) and Grande Prairie (May 28-31) will host Pro Rodeo Canada events.
