Family activities, cabaret, Canada Day celebrations and more at 2025 Airdrie Pro Rodeo

For nearly six decades, the Airdrie Pro Rodeo has been providing entertainment and top cowboy competition for Rocky View County and area.

Marketing Director Lorie Young notes it began back in 1967.

According to Young, the cabaret kick off featuring Brandon Lorenzo for this year’s Airdrie Pro Rodeo is on Friday, June27th and Saturday, June 28th. She says “doors are going to be opening up at about 6 o’clock and Brandon will be coming onto stage roughly around 8 o’clock.  There unfortunately is no rodeo those two days but we are going to have a great party.  We’ve got food trucks going to be out, we’ve got the beer already chilling, and Brandon is going to light up the stage and get everybody dancing. so we are looking very forward to Friday and Saturday night.”

Saturday is their free family fun day. Young adds, their marketplace will also be open. She says “so we have a lot of local vendors and stuff like that, having wonderful shopping. So it is a good thing it is pay day because I already have my shopping list. We have special junior rodeo with a group of kids that will be coming in and doing some events for us.”

Full pro rodeo performances in Airdrie are coming up for three straight days. Young says “so on the Sunday we will be opening up our gates at 5 o’clock with the junior rodeo starting at 6 o’clock and then we’ll have all nine pro events starting at 7 o’clock. Same thing on the Monday. The Tuesday, July 1st will be a little bit different. We will be opening our gates at about 2 o’clock with our junior rodeo going at 3 o’clock with again all nine events happening starting at 4 o’clock.
