2026 Water Valley Stampede unofficial results

The 72nd Water Valley Stampede is in the books and a few local competitors were able to wrangle up some big time results.

Becky Bradley from Olds was fastest in ladies breakaway roping (4.81), Tristan McPhee from Sundre had the top score in junior bull riding (70.5), and Sundre’s Cash McPhee tied for the lead in junior steer riding along with Hayden Stav from Turner Valley. They both posted 69 point rides.

The top team ropers were Clay Puddifant from Eckville and Ethan Dueck from Ponoka (8.4), Rimbey’s Taylor Anderson was swiftest in ladies barrel racing (17.511), Jackson Clark from Mayerthorpe had the best time in steer wrestling (6.0), Calmar’s Shane Allen won in tie down roping (11.5), Jack Lees from Australia recorded the weekend’s number one ride in bareback (67.5), and Zachary King from Creston finished first in bull riding (66.5), there were no qualified rides in saddlebronc.

Ava Henry from Clyde was quickest in junior barrel racing (17.519), Pigeon Lake’s Paisley Spronk was first in pee wee barrel racing (17.420), Coy McCarroll from Camrose led the way in junior breakaway roping (4.08), and Hinton’s Cody Jones was the best of the bunch in novice horse riding (63).

The Foothills Cowboy Association moves on to Crossfield this week for Pete Knight Days with performances set for 6pm on Friday and 2pm on Saturday.
