Mounties were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision shortly before 8am on Tuesday, March 4th. It happened near the bridge coming into the Town of Sundre on Highway 27 at the intersection with Highway 760.
An Innisfail RCMP member suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital last week when a stationary police vehicle was struck by an alleged impaired driver.
Mounties say an investigation resulted in an older model Ford Crown Victoria being located at a residence. According to police, it appeared to have a badge on the bumper that read 'police interceptor'.
The B.C. RCMP said officers were fired upon within seconds of entering Tumbler Ridge Secondary School during Tuesday’s mass shooting and said the suspect died shortly after police arrived.
UPDATE 2: The Southern Alberta Mustangs have confirmed that the players involved in Monday’s collision were 18-year-olds JJ Wright & Cameron Casorso, from Kamloops, and 17-year-old Caden Fine, from Alabama.
