Execution of search warrant in Penhold leads to drug trafficking charges

A joint investigation into an active drug trafficker has led charges being laid against at 42-year-old man from Penhold.

The Innisfail and Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Units combined on the investigation which led to the execution of a search warrant at a location on Lucina Street in Penhold on October 3rd.

As a result, RCMP seized 1.3 kilograms of methamphetamine, 120 grams of cocaine, cash, along with other items and weapons associated with drug trafficking.

The Penhold resident will has a court date for October 30th in Red Deer to answer to two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Sergeant Michael Zufferli says “this seizure represents a step towards making our streets safer and reducing the influence of those who profit from the suffering of others.”
