Bus & Bond greenhouse trip part of Olds Seniors’ Week activities

The Town of Olds has already had an unbelievable response to its Seniors’ Week activities.

Community Facilitator Trina Radcliffe points out that the resource fair and lunch in Didsbury on June 1st is completely sold out, and the bus and bond to Stage West Dinner Theatre in Calgary on June 7th is also sold out and they are wait listed for that one.

She explains what else they have planned for next week. Radcliffe says “so on Tuesday we have a 55+ paint class happening at the Community Connection Centre on 51st Avenue. On Wednesday, June 3rd we have a bus and bond to Lohr-A-Lee Greenhouses and that’s a neat one. They get to plant their own flower pots – the transportation is provided – and then bring their flower pots home with them.”

Seniors Week in Olds will also include a big free pancake breakfast at the Evergreen Centre from 9am until 10:30 on Friday, June 5th. Check out all the details on the Community Connection Centre Facebook page.

2026 is the 40th anniversary of Seniors’ Week in Alberta.
