Single-vehicle rollover results in one person taken to hospital via STARS

A single-vehicle rollover in Mountain View has resulted in one occupant being taken to hospital in Calgary by STARS Air Ambulance.

EMS officials point out that the injuries are currently undetermined.

It happened near the intersection of Highway 2A and Township Road 322. Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 9:30am on Sunday.

According to the Olds Fire Department, one person from the passenger vehicle that had left the roadway had been ejected from it and was located in critical condition. Live-saving measures had been immediately initiated by Fire Services, EMS and Olds RCMP.

Olds RCMP point out that the cause of the collision remains under investigation and no further information will be released at this time.

Emergency services also note that motorists using recording devices including cell phones “while driving past emergency scenes is unlawful and may result in enforcement action and fines.”
