Sundre Chamber’s Executive Director recaps 2026 Small Business Awards night

Sensational Sundre businesses were recognized last week by the Chamber of Commerce.

At the Sundre Legion during Small Business Week, Executive Director Sandra Nielsen notes that the top honour for the Spirit of Sundre Award went to RLB Roofing – Ryan and Lisa Bloomer. Nielsen says “we had so many nominations for them. They have added to our community in so many ways with their sponsorship support and wonderful customer service.”

The Legacy Award is for a business that has been operating for over 30 years and Sundre Home Hardware received it.

Complete Home Collective was the Best New/Rookie Business and Araya Simington who works there also won the Employee of the Year Award.

Grace Feedyards with Aaron and Dorothy Thengs won the Farm Operation Award, Madison Tucker from Mad Dog Mutts received the Young Entrepreneur Award, the honours for Marketing Excellence were bestowed upon Humble Pie Productions, and in the Customer Service category the winner was EGC Cleaning Services.

Nielsen really wanted to thank all of the winners for 2026 who have meant so much to their community over the years. Nielsen says “the support that they offer in terms of our youth, our resources, our non-profit groups goes well above and beyond their normal customer service role within our community. They have offered goods and services that have meant so much to us and they have done a marvelous job and as a Chamber we are excited to be able to recognize them and let our community know they really do add value.”
