Innisfail RCMP request assistance in historical missing person case

The Innisfail RCMP is asking for assistance in a missing person case, dating back to 2007.

Police said Ohanes ‘Johnny’ Melkon was last seen leaving his home on 56 Street in Innisfail on Mar. 28, 2007. The then 27-year-old was reported missing by his family on Apr. 3, 2007, after they could no longer contact him, and he failed to go to his place of work.

Ohanes worked in Blackfalds for a pipeline company and worked a seasonal job building fences in the Sylvan Lake area. Police reported that he was known to visit Red Deer, Blackfalds, Sylvan Lake, Penhold, and Innisfail.

Ohanes was originally from Montreal and moved to Alberta for work in May 2005.

The missing man is described as:
5’9” inches tall;
161 lbs;
Slender;
Bald or shaved head or black hair;
Brown eyes; and
Medium complexion.

Ohanes would now be 46-years-old.
