Hikers help out hospice in both Olds and Didsbury

The Hike for Hospice once again brought the community together last weekend in support of quality palliative care.

Executive Director Mary Smith says together the hikes in Olds and Didsbury on Sunday, May 3rd were able to raise just over $20,000 and in total there were more than 150 participants. Smith says “we do live in just an amazing community here in Olds and the surrounding area, and just the community and the volunteerism. We’re just so grateful and appreciative, and we’re just really lucky to be in this community.”

Smith notes that next year, instead of using the two locations and the Mountain View Hospice Society will just invite the surrounding communities join them for one big hike in Olds.

Up next for MVHS is its annual golf tournament at the Olds Golf Club on June 11th and individuals and teams are welcome to sign up for it now.
