Mountain View Power Community Grants for this spring include funding boosts for four local organizations

Olds council gave the green light to the MVP Grant Committee’s spring 2026 recommendations at the Monday, May 25th meeting.

The Olds Humane Society will get $18,200 to help replace windows and doors at the shelter on 46th Avenue.

More than $13,000 is going to the Mountain View Emergency Shelter Society for children and youth indoor and outdoor recreation spaces.

Accredited Supports to the Community will receive $4,700 for a Hoyer Lift. The mechanical lift and slings of varying sizes will assist with safely lifting and transporting both children and adults with disabilities and mobility challenges.

The Olds Community Chorus Society is to get $475 for a vocal skills workshop.

The MVP Grants Program was put in place to provide financial assistance towards projects/events/activities that enhance and enrich the community.

According to the Town of Olds, the next intake for the Mountain View Power Community Grant Program will take place in the fall of this year. Local non-profits, clubs, and community groups are encouraged to prepare their applications early and review the eligibility criteria outlined in the Town’s Community Grants Policy.
