2026-2027 Academic year underway at Olds College, annual open house on October 2-3

While many of the Broncos athletes arrived on campus a couple of weeks ago, September 8th is the first day of classes for the majority of the students at Olds College.

Dalin Bullock, Vice President Academic and Student Experience, notes that the official numbers aren’t in yet but they anticipate a total of about 3,800 students to join them for the school year. Bullock says “that would include our students that are in full-time programming but also students that are taking dual credit programs along with apprentices that will come in for their training over the course of the year. Well that would be similar, maybe slightly up on the domestic student side. We’re down on the international student side.” He points out that some of those will be just part-time students, but there will be approximately 1,800 full load equivalent students that will be at Olds College for the entire academic year.

Olds College will host its annual open house on October 2nd and 3rd, and Bullock adds it is an opportunity for anyone to tour the campus, talk with staff and faculty, as well as to learn about their programs. He says “also we waive our application fees during those two days, so those who are thinking about coming to the College in the future, it’s a great time to apply as there are no application fees. There is more information on our website for those that are interested in that. Maybe one additional thing, this is a busy time for us at the College as we prepare for harvest. The College farm is a big piece of the College and we’ll be starting harvest here shortly.” Find out more about the open house here.
