Volunteer of the Year Award winners for 2026 announced by Town of Olds

“Ignite Volunteerism” was the theme of National Volunteer Week for 2026.

The Town of Olds and the Community Connections Centre have followed up the week which ran from April 19th to the 25th by now announcing their Volunteer of the Year Award winners.

There was a tie for the Senior Volunteer of the Year between Jack Fewster with the Kiwanis Club of Olds, and Linda Reade with the Olds & District Evergreen Centre, I-O-D-E, and the Girl Guides.

Levi Ogilvie with the Olds Minor Hockey Association is the Citizen Volunteer of the Year, and Mateya Sept with Ecole Olds High School is the Town’s Youth Volunteer of the Year.

Trina Racliffe, Community Facilitator, says they hosted a small luncheon at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites on Friday, May 1st for the nominees and winners.
