Strong membership numbers shown early on for Men’s Shed of Olds

Men’s Shed of Olds has already attracted between 90 and 100 members since its inception about a year and a half ago.

President Morley Kjargaard says among their primary activities is wood working to help other non-profit organizations in the community with building furniture, construction projects or renovations.

Kjargaard adds, another one of their primary activities is bicycle repairs. He says “so we put about, I would guess, 100 bikes back into the community. People donate bikes, we repair them and then to a large extent donated them back to kids in the community.”

Their shop is located 4825 51st Street and goal of the Men’s Shed is to create a social outing for men in the community. See what they are up to by following Men’s Shed of Olds on Facebook.
