30th anniversary for BMO Farm Family Awards, MV County’s Packer Family among winners for 2026

For three decades southern Alberta farm families have been recognized through a partnership between BMO and the Calgary Stampede.

The 30th anniversary of the BMO Farm Family Awards were celebrated in Calgary earlier this week as 19 recipients for 2026 were honoured.

The award winner from Mountain View County is Jason and Jenna Packer and their two daughter Jorja and Bella. Mountain View County officials shared these quotes from Jenna and Jason. She says “it all started from that we wanted to raise our girls on the farm. He says “now we can’t imagine any other way.”

Each year, the BMO Farm Family Award recipients attend a recognition ceremony and lunch at Stampede Park and they get to check out the world’s richest outdoor rodeo for a day as well.
