Second annual Barley Brewfest, Crooked Horn Junior Rodeo and more in Carstairs July 17-19

Beef and Barley Days brings plenty of brews, bucking broncs and booming fireworks to the Town of Carstairs this week.

It starts on Friday, July 17th with the second annual Barley Brewfest at 5pm in the Curling Rink, there will be Rock and Roll Bingo at 8pm and then the fireworks at the Carstairs Golf Course will wrap up the night.

Charlie Van Arnam, President of the Carstairs and District Ag Society, says there are more great activities on Saturday as well. He says “so Saturday kicks off with the traditional pancake breakfast at 7:30am at the Curling Rink sponsored by the Carstairs Chamber of Commerce. We’ve got a junior rodeo at the rodeo grounds at 9. There is an art show going on. The big parade starts at 11 – that is always popular.”

There will be performances from the Crooked Horn Junior Rodeo on Saturday and Sunday.

Beef and Barley Days will finish up on Sunday with events including the summer showdown poker rally and car show at Adrenalin Motors.
