Grizzlys rookie forward from Didsbury collects more AJHL accolades

Ryder Riedell has raked in rookie of the week honours, again.

For the fourth time in the last two months, the 18-year-old forward from Didsbury has been recognized by the Alberta Junior Hockey League for his offensive production.

He marked a couple of milestones last week with his first hat trick, his first four-point game, and his first shorthanded goal.

In total, Riedel (2007) had four goals and five points in three games for the Olds Grizzlys and he is now tied for third in the league among rookie scorers with 23 points in 22 games.

The next 8 games for the Grizzlys (10-23-2-1) will all be on the road. They’ll visit Fort McMurray to face off with the Oil Barons (19-12-5-1) on January 16th and 17th. Olds returns home to battle Bonnyville (17-14-2-0) on February 13th.
