This Week Lammle’s New Music Monday spotlight is on Canadian Country Bluegrass band The Washboard Union. Aaron Grain and Chris Duncombe met as teenagers in Kelowna BC. They eventually moved to Vancouver together where they met David Roberts. They formed a band and began singing and songwriting as Run GMC. After they released their self released debut album in 2012, they adopted the title of the album as their new name. They performed in the Vancouver area gaining a pretty loyal fanbase. And by 2015 they were in Nashville recording their In My Bones EP.
Eleven years, four albums, and a list of hit singles later, The Washboard Union have become well respected artists in the Canadian music scene. Recently they have released their latest single which has already began climbing the charts, currently sitting in the Top 40 on the Canadian Country Charts. Whisky Wings also happens to be in the spotlight on this week’s Lammle’s Western Wear New Music Monday
