A crook dozing off in a pick up truck has led to an arrest by Sylvan Lake RCMP.
Mounties responded to a report of a vehicle stopped in the middle of the street in Eckville at about 7:15am on Wednesday, November 5th.
Police say the pick up truck was stolen and it was “running, with a driver sleeping behind the wheel.”
Quantities of methamphetamine were discovered during a search of the vehicle and the driver – a 37-year-old man – had “outstanding warrants for his arrest and was breaching several release conditions.”
He faces a total of nine charges including operation of a vehicle while impaired by drugs and after being remanded into custody is set to appear in court in Red Deer on Monday (November 10th).
