Cash raffle helping to furnish and equip new Trochu seniors facility

A new seniors facility is being built in Trochu to replace the existing aging facility.

Audrey Nelson, Director of the Trochu Seniors Housing Society, says it will be home to 74 residents across 40 units with 16 lodge units and 18 life-lease units. It will employ about 100 staff members.

She notes their Society is trying to raise a total of $2 million to put towards furnishings and equipment for inside and outside the facility. Nelson says “we are at $1.2 million right now, so we have a little bit to go yet. The prize for the tickets – it’s a 50/50 so if we get the final number up there, the winner will get 50 per cent.”

Get tickets by going online to Trochu Seniors Housing Society 50/50 Rafflebox Fundraisder. The draw will be made on May 29th.

The move in date for the facility is slated to be July 1st of 2027.
