Jason Glass posts Night 7’s fastest time, gets in the mix for top 3 aggregate spot

High River’s Jason Glass finished with the top time of Night 7 at the Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby with a 1:12.15.

Glass finished nearly one second faster than his nearest competitor in his Birchcliff Energy Ltd outfit on Thursday.

The run moved Glass into third (8:35.55) in the aggregate standings, with Chanse Vigen from Calgary in first (8:28.46) in his VisitLethbridge.com outfit and Jamie Laboucane from St. Walburg, Saskatchewan in second (8:31.83) in his Panorama Advisory Group wagon. Logan Gorst from Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan is fourth (8:35.89) in his International Petroleum Corp. wagon and Obrey Motowylo from Hoadley is fifth (8:36.33) in his Quanta outfit. Gorst was second on Night 7 with a 1:13.04.

There are two more days of racing to solidify the top three in the aggregate standings to determine which trio of wagons will get the opportunity in the Dash for Cash on championship Sunday. The winner will receive a cheque for $50,000 along with a new GMC truck.

96.5 The Ranch will have live coverage of Night 8 this evening at 7:30. The Ranch is the radio broadcast home of the 2025 WPCA (World Professional Chuckwagon Association) Pro Tour.
