Full throttle: 2026 Rural Alberta Ride For Dad on June 27

The annual chance to rev up motorcycle engines to raise money for prostate cancer research and awareness is coming up this weekend.

Gil Enns with the Rural Alberta Ride for Dad says they will start off on Saturday (June 27th) morning with registration and breakfast at the Zion Church in Didsbury at 7:30. They will leave at 9:30 and their route will also take them east to Three Hills, then in the afternoon it is west to Sundre and to Olds. Enns says “you know what if you want to just come down on Saturday morning we have pledge forms there you can fill them out, if you don’t have one already and, yeah, come in and join in the fun. For the registered riders that come – every registered ride does receive the breakfast, the lunch and the supper for free.” Enns hopes to be at Hildebrand Motors in Olds by 2:15pm. They will then leave at about 3 with an RCMP escort back to Didsbury for the wrap up banquet and awards.

The Rural Alberta Ride for Dad chapter has raised one and a quarter million dollars since it was established in 2009. Check out their Facebook page here.
