Guests to the annual ratepayer breakfast at the Mountain View County office this week will be keeping their eye on the sky in order to see more than just the weather.
A STARS Air Ambulance helicopter will be flying in as the special guest for the event to recognize that the County has contributed more than $500,000 towards STARS over the years.
Josh Nash – Provincial Director of Operations for Alberta with STARS – highlights the fact that they will unveil the Mountain View County logo which will be displayed on the aircraft. Nash says “it is special for us because that logo stays on that aircraft. So every time that aircraft is in the sky or on the ground and residents from Mountain View see that aircraft, they are going to see that logo on there and it just reminds everyone including all of us at STARS and all of our communities, the donations that Mountain View County has put towards our life saving mission.”
STARS has flown an average of 55 missions annually within Mountain View County during the past five years. Learn more about STARS or make a donation here.
The annual ratepayer breakfast at the Mountain View County office will run from 8am until 11 on Thursday, June 25th.
