Olds visiting Canmore for Big Sky League battle on October 7

The Ecole Olds High School Spartans remain fifth among 3-A schools in Football Alberta’s rankings for Week 5 of the 2026 season.

Last Thursday, quarterback Aiden Knobben ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more as the Spartans demolished the Titans 33 to 9 in Drumheller.

Including exhibition action, the Spartans have won 4 of the 5 games they have played so far.

They will travel to Canmore to clash with the Wolverines in a Big Sky League battle on Wednesday, October 7th.

Canmore is ranked ninth with a record of 1 and 2, but the Wolverines did beat Highwood 41 to 6 in their last game.

The Big Sky League consists of four teams – the Olds Spartans, the Canmore Wolverines, the Drumheller Titans, and the Highwood Mustangs.
