A 38-year old man from Clearwater County faces charges after a delivery van was stolen from the Red Deer Resort and Casino.
It happened on June 10th and the van was reported to be driving west of Innisfail near Highway 22, bordering the RCMP jurisdictions of Innisfail, Sundre, Sylvan Lake and Rocky Mountain House.
Eventually a tire deflation device was used to stop it and the male suspect fled into a wooded area before being arrested without incident.
The list of charges include theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, plus two outstanding warrants for theft of a motor vehicle and theft under $5,000. He was remanded into custody and had a court date in Red Deer on June 12th.
