Season series success for the road team continues, Dragons win again in Olds

As heard on 96.5 CKFM on Friday night, the Drumheller Dragons went 3 for 7 on the power play as they won 4 to 1 in Olds.
The Grizzlys lone goal was an even strength tally that had tied the game at 1-all in the first period. It was scored by forward Junshi Hideshima (2005) from Edmonton. The goal was his 9th of the 2024-2025 Alberta Junior Hockey League season. He is second on the team in goals behind only forward Antonio Bevacqua (2006) from Langley, B.C. who has 11. Bevacqua picked up an assist on Hideshima’s goal.
Olds was 0 for 3 with the man advantage. The Grizzlys have the top ranked power play unit in the 12 team league. However, their lead over the second place Dragons in that category is now a bit closer. Olds is operating at 23.7% efficiency on the PP, while Drumheller is up to 22.1%
Drumheller has played two more games than Olds but the fourth place Dragons (14-10-2-0) have a 10 point lead on the sixth place Grizzlys (10-14-0-0). The season series is now tied at 2-all. The road team has won all four games. The Dragons will be back in Olds on January 17th. The final regular season match up between the two teams will be in Drumheller on February 17th.
The Black & Gold board the bus on Saturday, December 7th for a trip to the mountains to face off with the Canmore Eagles (15-7-3-0) at 7pm.
