Grizzlys bring in blueliner via trade with Wolverines

The Olds Grizzlys made a deal over the weekend to bolster their blueline.

The Black & Gold have acquired defenceman Brendan Thomas (2006) from the Whitecourt Wolverines in exchange for future considerations.

Thomas, who will turn 18 years old on Friday (December 6th), had one assist in 21 Alberta Junior Hockey League games with Whitecourt this season.

Prior to his rookie year in the AJHL, Thomas was a member of the U18 AAA Calgary Buffaloes.

The Calgary product contributed 4 goals, 26 points and 44 penalty minutes in 37 Alberta Elite Hockey League games for the Buffaloes during the 2023-2024 regular season.

The Grizzlys will host Drumheller this Friday at 7pm and live coverage can be heard on 96.5 CKFM.
