High River’s Jason Glass has won the World Professional Chuckwagon Association’s 2026 Strathmore Stampede.
Glass got his Birchcliff Energy Limited outfit around the track in 1:13.04 on Monday, August 3rd to win the event over Cruise Bensmiller from Dewberry (1:13.73) and Obrey Motowylo from Hoadley (1:13.87).
It is the second straight year that Glass has won the Strathmore Stampede and overall he has won that event four times now during his career. Glass had the best aggregate running time for the first three nights or 3:43.16.
Up next for the WPCA is the Battle of the North in Dawson Creek, B.C. from this Wednesday through Sunday. Start time for opening night on August 5th is 7:30pm.
The driver standings are currently led by Obrey Motowylo with 893.5 points, Jason Glass is second with 865.5 and Logan Gorst from Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan is third with 760.5.
Following this week’s chuckwagon races in Dawson Creek, the wrap up stop for the season will be the WPCA World Finals which will run from August 12th through the 16th
