This week’s Lammle’s Western Wear’s New Music Monday spotlight is on Grand Prairie, Alberta’s Tennille Townes. Tenille Townes had found an early love of country music, sparked by her parents who would play music on the car stereo during long road trips. At the age of nine, her parents took her to see a Shania Twain concert where she was brought upon stage to sing with Shania. At age fifteen she released her first single ‘Home Now’ which was produced by Duane Steele.
Over the next decade Tenille built her career and honed her songwriting skills. In 2018 she hit Number 1 on the Canadian Country chart with ‘Somebody’s Daughter’ and followed that with another number one with 2019’s ‘Jersey On The Wall’ Since then she’s continued her success with several singles including some collaborations with the likes of Nate Haller, Lori McKenna and even Bryan Adams. Her latest single is a bright and sunny summer effort entitled ‘Sunshine’s Free’ and is our feature today on Lammle’s Western Wear New Music Monday.
