Join BGC Olds and Area in Centennial Park for Club Day on June 5

A national celebration of all of the Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada is coming up this week.

Lauren McMullen, Director of Youth, Community and Family Services, says they will be in Centennial Park in Olds from 3 until 6pm on Friday, June 5th for BGC Club Day. McMullen says “it is completely free for families to attend – and you do not have to be a BGC family to attend. You can come on out from the community. We’ll have a BBQ by donation, bouncy castles, games, glitter tattoos, and just lots of fun happening in the park. So come and join us and help us celebrate our club.”

McMullen says the slogan for BGC is “opportunity changes everything” so Club Day on June 5th is really a day to celebrate everything that their clubs do across Canada. She says “providing safe spaces, supportive relationships, child care, youth programs, and family supports. We do lots within Olds and surrounding communities, so this is just a day to celebrate what BGC is with all of the families and the community we are in.”

Summer camp registration is open now and you can check out more details online at bgcolds.ca.
