Make it back-to-back wins in Grande Prairie for Motowylo

Obrey Motowylo from Hoadley, Alberta as started the World Professional Chuckwagon Association season with a bang for the second year in a row.

Motowylo and his Dynamic Energy Group Inc. outfit defended his championship at the Grande Prairie Stompede by winning the Dash for Cash on Sunday night. It is the fourth title of his career at the Stompede.

A time of 1:15.27 allowed Motowylo to beat out Darcy Flad (1:16.46), Luke Tournier (1:16.22) and Troy Dorchester (1.21.77) in the Dash.

Motowylo also received the Ralph Vigen Memorial Award for having the top four-day aggregate time in G.P. of 5:03.19. Flad was second with a 5:04.55.

The 2026 WPCA Pro Tour rolls on to Bonnyville for the next event of the season and it will begin on Thursday (June 4-7) live on 96.5 The Ranch.
