Obrey Motowylo crowned 2026 World Chuckwagon Champion

The 2026 WPCA Pro Tour season crossed the finish line over the weekend in Rocky Mountain House.

When the dust settled, Obrey Motowylo from Hoadley, Alberta won this year’s world chuckwagon championship by 76 points over High River’s Jason Glass. It is the second time Motowylo has been crowned the season champ. Rory Gervais is this season’s world champion outrider.

The Battle of the Rockies champion for the final event of the season was Calgary’s Chanse Vigen who posted the top four-day aggregate time of 4:57.91.

The last business of the weekend was to determine the Dash for Cash winner in Rocky Mountain House and that went to Jason Glass who set a track record on Sunday, August 16th with a time of 1:11.20.

The annual awards banquet and gala for the WPCA will be held in October.
