Five days of chuckwagon racing excitement wrapped up on Sunday, August 9th in Dawson Creek, B.C.
Chanse Vigen from Calgary won the Dash for Cash to take home the Battle of the North title for this year. It is the second time he has won the event. Vigen’s time on Sunday was 1:17.13. He was followed by High River’s Jason Glass with a 1:17.40.
Rounding out the heat was Jamie Laboucane from St. Walburg, Saskatchewan with a 1:18.19 in third and Obrey Motowylo from Hoadley in fourth with a 1:18.76. Laboucane was the aggregate winner for the week with a time of 4:53.83 through the first four nights. Vigen was second at 4:55.20.
The 2026 WPCA Pro Tour concludes with final event of the season this week in Rocky Mountain House. The World Finals will run from Wednesday, August 12th through Sunday, August 16th and 96.5 The Ranch will have live coverage of all of the action.
