Four lives lost as a result of crash on O’Chiese Road

Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision just after 4:30pm on Friday, May 29th.

Mounties say it happened on O’Chiese Road about 5 kilometers from the Buster Creek intersection.

According to police, a 74-year-old driver and a 51-year-old passenger one vehicle, a Grand Caravan, were declared deceased at the scene – they were both men from Rocky Mountain House.

Two female children from the O’Chiese First Nation ages 5 and 6 were also declared deceased at the scene. They along with three adults were in the second vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee. The three adults were taken to hospital for their injuries.

Mounties say the cause of the collision remains under investigation, and condolences are being passed along to the family and friends of the deceased.
