Donate during Radiothon 2026 and help cover the operating costs for Kirsten’s Place

Each year, Radiothon supports Kirsten’s Place in Olds – a haven for all victims of family violence.

96.5 The Ranch, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation and the Mountain View Emergency Shelter Society have teamed up for the 6th edition of the event which runs on-air today until 6pm.

According to Merrell Dickie with Royal LePage Wildrose Real Estate, right about $400,000 has been raised during the first 5 years and for 2026 the donations collected will help cover the facility’s operating costs. Dickie says “you know I just want to say that, unfortunately, this is a topic that we have to discuss and it is a topic that nobody wants to discuss but Kirsten’s Place is a well needed project in the Town of Olds and we just encourage everybody to come out and support us as much as they can. Thank you.”

He adds, to stop by the Royal LePage Wildrose Real Estate office on Highway 27 for their Radiothon BBQ today and make a donation in person or online here. About $35,000 was collected as part of Radiothon in 2025.
