Alberta’s Minister of Technology and Innovation slated to attend local MLA’s Town Hall on data centres

The Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills MLA is hosting a Town Hall meeting next week on Data Centres and Alberta’s Digital Future.

According to Tara Sawyer, Nate Glubish – Alberta’s Minister of Technology and Innovation – will be on hand for it.

Sawyer adds that they will have a moderator and a mic so attendees will be able to ask questions. She says “I’ve had a lot of constituents reaching out to my office having questions about data centres and of course with some of the proposed ones in the area and so I just thought it would be nice, in order to answer some of those questions. The Minister was kind enough, he is going to come and we are just going to have a Town Hall that will allow community members to come out and be able to have some of their questions answered, to have some understanding of the regulations around data centres and just an open conversation to be able to connect with everybody in the community that has some questions.”

The Town Hall on Data Centres and Alberta’s Digital Future will be held next Tuesday, April 7th from 6 until 8pm at the Olds College Alumni Centre.
