Six incumbents returning as Chinook’s Edge trustees

Chinook’s Edge School Division has released the official results of the school board election.

Six of the nine Wards in CESD will have incumbents back in as re-elected trustees including Holly Bilton in Ward 4 – Innisfail, Melissa Copley in Ward 9 – Carstairs, De Anne Hutchison in Ward 3 – Delburne/Elnora, Terry Leslie in Ward 6 – Sundre, and Kathy Kemmere in Ward 7 Olds/Reed Ranch.

New to the board are Janine Waldo in Ward 1 – Sylvan Lake, Kelly Anne Jobs in Ward 2 – Penhold, and Kathy Williams in Ward 8 – Didsbury.

The full results for the five elections were in Waldo in Ward 1 with 424 votes over Allison Ammeter (322), Joeanne Matejka (76), Brenda Holliday (72) and Bev Peck (54). Jobs in Ward 2 with 423 votes to Sherry Cooper with 345. Bilton in Ward 4 with 817 votes to Mary Flemming with 297. Williams in Ward 8 with 357 votes to William (Bill) Ewart Windsor with 219. Copley in Ward 9 with 506 votes over Andrea Morton (353), and Emma McEachern (185).

Hutchison, Wagers, Leslie, and Kemmere all got their spots by acclamation.

The first post-election regular board meeting for Chinook’s Edge trustees is coming up on November 4th.
