‘Past proud, future ready’ adopted as slogan for Olds Chamber’s 30th anniversary

Members of the local business community headed to the Olds Legion during the lunch hour on Wednesday, March 11th.

The 2026 annual general meeting for the Olds & District Chamber of Commerce saw the tables fill up with over two dozen attendees.

In its current form the Olds Chamber turns 30 years old this year, but President Doug Rieberger notes that their history goes back even further than just January of 1996. He says “when we went diving back into our history, we found out that actually one rendition of the (Olds) Chamber of Commerce was actually some of the founding members of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Yeah, over the years the earlier renditions of it were Board of Trades or some of the first ones were just businessmen groups.”

As part of its 30th anniversary year, Rieberger says the Olds Chamber is planning a come and go event to celebrate on May 26th at Our Flames Lounge. He adds, their slogan for this special year is “Past Proud, Future Ready.” Keep up with all of the events for 2026 on the Chamber’s website.
