Busy summer season winding down for ORE

Just a couple of Olds Farmers Markets are left as part of the Olds Regional Exhibition’s summer season.

From the start of June until the end of September they run every Thursday. Join them on Thursday, September 18th from 3:30 until 6:30pm at the Cow Palace. The final one of the season will be on September 25th.

Jenna Meyers, ORE’s Event Coordinator, says it has been quite a summer with everything from 4-H show and sales, to Summer Synergy, to Olds Beer Fest, the Oldstoberfest Pro Rodeo and more. She says “we had flat track races and trade shows. We welcomed 800 visitors for the International Wild Rose Homecoming Geocaching Convention. There is always something happening. We had the Calgary Kennel Club come twice for two of their dog shows and every Thursday we had a Farmers Market that brought the community together averaging about 40 vendors and up to 300 people through the door each week. What a great way to celebrate summer at the Olds Regional Exhibition and we can’t wait to see you all for our fall and winter events.”

Festive shopping, local treasures, holiday cheer and more will all be part of ORE’s Country Wonderland Market which is coming up on November 14th and 15th. Become a vendor by filling out the application form online at oldsregionalexhibition.com.
