Innisfail invites residents to dive into Aquatic Centre Modernization Project

The Town of Innisfail is inviting residents to an upcoming open house to learn more about the Innisfail Aquatic Centre Modernization Project.

The event takes place on Tuesday, August 19th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Innisfail Library and Learning Centre.

The open house will provide residents an opportunity to review plans, ask questions, and understand the future of the facility.

According to the Town of Innisfail website, the Innisfail Aquatic Centre originally opened in 1987 and has not undergone major upgrades in nearly four decades.

The modernization project, approved by Town Council earlier this year,  began on July 7th, and is expected to last nine months.

The upgrades will bring the facility up to modern building code standards, enhance energy efficiency, and reduce operating costs.

New features will include improved accessibility, barrier-free universal changerooms, a new steam room, hot tub, and a fully upgraded mechanical room.
