A former Springbank Community High School teacher has been arrested for a second time this year.
The 49-year-old from Calgary was first apprehended and charged with child luring, sexual exploitation and making explicit material available to a young person after an investigation into the conduct of a teacher. A female student at Springbank Community High School had reported inappropriate behaviour to Cochrane RCMP in January (2025).
Mounties note that he is no longer a teacher at Rocky View Schools.
The ongoing investigation by Cochrane RCMP then led to his most recent arrest on Tuesday (July 8th) and additional charges of accessing child pornography and possession of child pornography.
After being released on conditions, he has a court date in Cochrane set for September 9th.
