A tragic off-road incident on the final day of May has resulted in two fatalities.
Mounties received a report of a “serious collision involving two motor-cross bikes.”
It happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 31st in the Horse Creek area near Cochrane.
Police say two seriously injured men were located and declared deceased on scene “despite efforts from people at the scene who provided emergency first aid.”
RCMP are passing along heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. They were both 21-years-old and residents of Cochrane.
Cochrane RCMP add, the investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
