Innisfail hosting Lacombe for Game 2 of championship series on March 15

The Innisfail Eagles will try to take a two games to none lead in the North Central Senior Men’s AA Hockey League’s championship series this Saturday.

The Birds are up 1-0 in the best-of-seven battle for the Vanberg Cup thanks to last Saturday’s 5-3 victory over the Generals in Lacombe. Chance Griffith made 36 saves in the victory, while Quinton Lisoway and Dave Nippard both notched a goal and an assist for Innisfail.

Game 2 is coming up on March 15th at 7:30 at the Innisfail Twin Arenas.

Game 3 is set for Sunday in Lacombe at 2:30pm. Game 4 will be in Innisfail on Friday, March 21st.
