The Mountain View Colts improved their winning streak to 3 games on Friday night, with a big 8-3 victory over the Ponoka Stampeders at the Three Hills Centennial Place Arena.

Hunter Sellers picked up a hat trick along with a pair of helpers for a 5 point night, while Tristan Visser and Aiden Saunders also found the back on the night on Friday night.
Jaxon Schmaltz did all he could in between the pipes for the Stampeders, making 61 saves en route to Ponoka’s 16th consecutive loss. Ponoka has won just 1 game so far this season, a 5-2 win against the Coaldale Copperheads on November 23rd.
Jordan McGinnis made the start for Mountain View, making 24 saves in the win.
The win improves the Colts record to 4-0 versus Ponoka, and 17-13-2 overall. Mountain View is in sole possession of 2nd place in the Northern Division with 36 points.
The Red Deer Vipers are right at the heels of the Colts in the standings, trailing by just 3 points ahead of a big home and home series with Mountain View over the next 6 days.
