The Olds Grizzlys are back in action tonight as the black and gold continue a 4 game homestand.
Olds will host the Camrose Kodiaks in a battle of the bears tonight, before turning their attention to the Drayton Valley for the 3rd game in 7 days time between the Thunder and Grizzlys.
The black and gold managed to pick up a 5-4 overtime win on November 23rd to salvage a split home and home series with Drayton, who defeated Olds at the Drayton Valley Omniplex last Friday by a score of 5-2.
The Grizz are 6th in the Alberta Junior Hockey League South Division standings at (10-12-0) with 20 points, they are 5 points back of the 4th place Drumheller Dragons for the 4th and final playoff spot in the division. Drayton Valley is 5th with 21 points.
Tonight will be the 3rd battle of the bears of the season, the Grizzlys will look to defeat the Kodiaks for the second time this year on home ice.
The black and gold snuck out a shoot out win over Camrose at home on October 5th, but we’re defeated 9-3 by the Kodiaks at Encana Arena on November 8th.
Tonights game will feature Black Friday deals in the merch booth and the Aurora Golf Grizz Bar will also be open.
Saturday is the Grizzlys’ Christmas Angels night, the team will be collecting toys or gift cards together with Royalty RV.
