Olds Grizzlys Prep For Home And Home Series With Drayton Valley Thunder

The Olds Grizzlys resume their Alberta Junior Hockey League regular season tonight, as the black and gold are on the road to battle the Drayton Valley Thunder in the first game of a weekend home and home series.

Olds carries a record of (9-11-0) heading into this weekend’s action, with 18 points they are tied with Drayton for 5th in the South Division.

The Grizz have won 2 of their last 3 games and are coming off a 10 goal offensive outburst against the Devon Xtreme last Saturday night.

Olds and Drayton Valley have met once already this season.

Captain Connor Seeley netted the overtime winner on home ice back on October 12th, that earned the Grizz a 3-2 win over the Thunder.

The Grizzlys and Thunder will clash at 7PM tonight in Drayton, the return match is set for tomorrow night at the Olds Sportsplex.

Saturday’s home game will feature a mystery mini stick giveaway and all children under 12 are free with the purchase of an adult ticket, courtesy of Grizzlys alumni.

That game can also be heard on 96.5 CKFM, Sheldon Button will have the call behind the mic at 7.
