The Upper Red Deer is still experiencing high flows however water levels have been receding and conditions are improving daily. Many of the Upper Red Deer Tributaries are in excellent condition and fishing well with water levels within the average seasonal flows. Bug life is teaming, and fish are active with Caddis hatches, Stones and Mayflies present daily.

The Tailwaters of the Red Deer below Dickson Dam are still flowing high however water conditions are decent and the fishing has been good. Much like the Upper Red Deer many of the tailwater tribs are in excellent condition and fishing very well. Dunns, Caddis, Mayflies and Stones have been present daily.

On the local Stillwater’s summer is setting in and we are seeing water temps rise and fish patterns changing. Sedges and Damsels have been present daily and bug life has been present and highly active everywhere.

In the West Country conditions are improving and currently it can be hit or miss on water conditions. Bug life has been active and where good water conditions are found the fishing has been good. Water levels on the Ram are currently receding quickly and we hope to see very good water conditions coming soon.
