A county-wide fire restriction for Mountain View County was officially lifted on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire restriction was initially put in place on July 29th, but wet weather lately has helped decrease the fire risk in the County and allow for it to be lifted effective immediately on August 11th.
Members of the public are still urged to exercise caution while burning and have a supply of water readily available at all times.
Mountain View County does require fire permits year-round. Visit the County website or call the office at 403-335-3311 for more details.
